Training
ISIS

A formal general introductory ISIS training class, consisting of 2 half-day sessions, is usually held once each month and is conducted by Administrative Computer Services personnel. Supervisors who want to schedule new employees for training should inform their ISIS coordinator. The ISIS coordinator should then contact Eileen McGrody at 204-5052 or by e-mail at eileen.mcgrody@temple.edu. One week prior to the training session, Administrative Computer Services will send a confirmation/reminder memo to all individuals scheduled for training.

FMS

The Help Tab on FMS on the Web (fms.temple.edu) provides explanations of logging on, requesting and downloading Cost Center, Grant, Summary and other reports, using Signature Authorization, and researching Purchase Orders. To gain access to FMS, use the handy 'Request Form for Access to FMS' available on the Logon page.

For additional information, please contact Paul Amrhein, Director of Accounting Information Systems at 1-3125 or e-mail him at paul.amrhein@temple.edu.

HRS

Please contact the Office of Personnel Services and/or the Payroll Office on your campus to get a copy of the HRS User Community Training Manual.

FOCUS

Due to the variation in client abilities and the complexity and size of the University data systems, Focus training is usually done on a one-to-one or small group basis to make the material as useful as possible. The first session usually takes an hour and is an introduction to writing programs in Focus. Staff are also made aware of the preprogrammed reports that they might find immediately useful as well as the reports that are available to all users. Subsequent sessions are customized to the client's specific requirements and abilities.

Please contact Paul F. Smith at 204-4628 or Harry Cleveland at 204-5324 if you are interested in setting up a training session.  You may also use email: paul.smith@temple.edu or harry.cleveland@temple.edu.

SSR

Super Send and Receive is a tool used for transferring files between mainframe-based administrative systems and client workstations. Transfers can include file uploads or downloads.  It is used in conjunction with Attachmate's Extra! Office Client, versions 6.2 through 6.5.  If you'd like to pose a question about SSR, discuss the ways it is used or obtain training,  please e-mail the primary contact responsible for your system or department.
